FABUM at The Arts Club
Jameson Freeman and Nichola Hays hosted friends, arts supporters and patrons for FABUM’s “A Birthday and a Honeymoon” event at The Arts Club of Washington. FABUM, a D.C. non-profit performing arts organization, celebrated the second year since its founding, as well as the success of its 2013 centerpiece show “Dream Wedding.”
This ‘Dream Wedding’ is a real trip down the aisle
“Dream Wedding,” a site-specific, immersive theater piece by the D.C. arts organization FABUM, might begin like a typical wedding, but instead of a trip down the aisle, it’s a trip through a bride’s dreams, hopes and fears.
Written and directed by Jameson Freeman, “Dream Wedding” incorporates Jungian psychology and Greek mythology to examine the way marriage changes and enlightens a person.
“Dream Wedding” at the Arts Club
FABUM, a non-profit arts organization, recently presented “Dream Wedding,” an immersive, walk-through performance experience that is part of its Dolce Revolution Project series. Guests moved from the courtyard through the historic Arts Club of Washington, where each room was a unique, repeating scene within the bride’s subconscious.
